Validation is a requirement of method development, a process that determines the fitness of a method for its intended purpose.

ISHI-Veg Validation Reports

ISHI-Veg’s detection methods are used for many purposes, such as preventing pathogens moving from one country to another, as a pre-screen to clear lots that are healthy for commercialization and for seed producers to make management decisions. To ensure its methods are fit for purpose, ISHI-Veg has identified 6 validation criteria against which the performance of the methods are measured, see ISHI-Veg Guidelines for the Validation of Seed Health Methods. ISHI-Veg has benchmarked its validation criteria against international validation standards and will continue to do so on a regular basis.
