156 ISF members from 27 countries gathered in Geneva, Switzerland for the ISF midterm meetings on 4-8 November 2024 to review their progress on the ISF Key Strategic Objectives 2021-2025 and set their action plans for the next year.
Meetings were held in different parts of the city, with some groups visiting the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters, as well as the UPOV office, to hold their meetings in coordination with partners from these international organizations.
The Advisory Group – Field Crops organized a visit to Agroscope, the Swiss public agricultural research institute in nearby Changins, Switzerland. Members met the plant breeders team, presenting their initiatives to advance sustainable, cost-effective ways to cultivate top-quality field crops.
The Expert Group – Communications also organized a visit to the UN Geneva Headquarters for a short tour of the historical premises, allowing members to visit the heart of human rights promotion and diplomacy in Europe.
