Ben Rivoire, ISF Sustainability and Crop Value Chain Manager, recently visited the United States to engage with ISF members and leading seed innovators—Sakata, HM Clause, and Syngenta Seeds—and to participate in the IFPA Sustainability Council and the Global Produce & Floral Show from 16-19 October.
The visit underscored the critical role of seed innovation in driving value across the agri-food chain, from improved genetics for farmers to sustainable, high-quality produce for retailers and consumers.
At the IFPA Sustainability Council, Ben joined experts from major food and retail companies to explore collaboration frameworks for shared sustainability priorities. Representing the seed sector alongside ASTA colleagues, he highlighted how plant breeding and innovation are key enablers of food system transformation.
Coinciding with the event, ISF and IFPA issued a joint statement ahead of COP30, highlighting their commitment to work together and showcase innovation as a driver of sustainability across the agri-food value chain.#
