‘State of Seed’ Season 3 Out Now!

Season 3 of State of Seed, a podcast by the International Seed Federation produced by FP Studios, is out today on all major podcast platforms.

In this season, we explore the policies, innovations, challenges, and opportunities shaping the global seed sector today, and speak with key people forging a resilient future for food and agriculture.

The first episode takes listeners to Lisbon, Portugal, during the ISF World Seed Congress, the flagship global gathering of the seed sector. Against the backdrop of trade talks, bilateral meetings, technical sessions, and high-level conversations, the episode examines how global pressures are being felt across agriculture: from trade uncertainty, policy fragmentation, and rising costs, to the solutions needed to build stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive agri-food systems.

Episode 1 explores how issues such as tariffs, fertilizer supply pressures, climate change, and constantly changing market conditions are affecting seed companies and the wider agricultural value chain. It also examines the role of biologicals in the context of the fertilizer crisis, the current state of global trade of food and agriculture commodities, and how the sector is navigating today’s challenges.

Guests include Syngenta Group CEO Jeff Rowe, Edwini Kessie from the WTO, farmers Mark Watne from the US and Leah Salvaleon from the Philippines, Topic CTO Eyal Maori, Corteva Agriscience Biotech Portfolio Leader Nandin Krishnamurthy, and many more scientific, industry, and policy leaders.
