Delhi, India — Over two productive days in the Indian capital, ISF took an important step toward deepening collaboration with India’s seed sector. Together with the Federation of Seed Industry of India (FSII), represented by its Executive Director, Raghavan Sampathkumar, and Kuldeep Tyagi, together with partners from Crop Life Asia, the ISF delegation met with government officials to discuss shared priorities for the future of agriculture in India.

ISF had the privilege to meet Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra (Director, PPVFRA) and Mr. M.L. Jat (Director General, DARE & ICAR), alongside FSII Executive Director Raghavan Sampathkumar, Kuldeep Tyagi, and industry representatives from Bayer, Corteva, Plantum, and CropLife Asia. These engagements offered valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and continue building trust.
The ISF delegation, composed of Dr. Khaoula Belhaj Fragnière, Dr. Rose Souza Richards, Marc Cool (Corteva), Michiel Klompenhouwer (Plantum), and Bram Kombruegge (Rijk Zwaan), joined forces with FSII leaders and industry partners to discuss some of the most pressing issues in the sector, such as Intellectual Property & EDV, genome editing, phytosanitary measures, and public-private partnership.

These discussions reaffirmed ISF’s commitment to advancing science-based policies, promoting an enabling business environment for local, regional, and global seed industries, and fostering strong partnerships that empower farmers and drive innovation across the agricultural value chain.#
